What decides your Meesho shipping charge
When you add an image to a new catalog in the Meesho supplier panel, Meesho checks it against products it already has (a duplicate-image match) and quotes a shipping charge for the listing. Two things you control decide that quote: the category you list in and the photo you upload.
That is why the same product can get different shipping charges depending on the photo. Every rupee saved on shipping either lowers your price for buyers or stays with you as margin, on every order.

Pick the right category
Choose the most specific Meesho category for your product. Shipping is quoted per category, and you have to list in the same category you checked the price in.

In the Meesho supplier panel, add the photo to a single catalog and note the shipping charge Meesho shows. That's the number to beat.

Try different versions of the same photo
Keep the product unchanged, but vary how it's presented: a thin frame or none, a soft studio backdrop or plain white instead of the original background, a little smaller, sometimes a slim text band or a small badge. Each version can match a different existing product and get a different quote.

Upload the exact file that got the lowest quote, in the same category. Editing or re-saving it again can change the match, and with it the price.
